The Bernard family has been making maple syrups from more than 200 years, right since the early 1800s! Even though much has changed since those early colonial days, the lessons learned about how to make premium quality maple syrup have been carefully preserved and diligently handed down through their family to be used by the present-day 5th generation of Bernard Master Sugar Makers. They officially incorporated this family business in the year of 1966 with the single aim of supplying their customers with high quality and pure maple syrup.
While producing a high-quality maple syrup on such a large scale was a challenge, they denied taking shortcuts and always focussed on the standard of the products they offered. For this reason, they rely not only on their own in-house lab to verify all products, but also on several recognized third-party auditing groups to help monitor their methods, equipment, & facilities. All their products are processed in their state of art processing plant which is highly supervised by the 5th generation Bernard sugar makers. For the owners, pure maple syrup is a tribute to their family name and tradition and hence, no compromises are tolerated at any point of time before their products are shipped.
