Epicure was registered as a trade mark in 1891 by Petty Wood, a food distribution company established in 1817 in London. Since its inception in the year of 1981, This brand has based its philosophy only on the pleasure of good food and has been one of the original innovators of food in Britain by importing and bringing in exotic canned fruits and vegetables to Britain, which were otherwise unseen and unheard of in that corner of the world during its time.
They originally specialized in distribution and packing of teas and dried fruits along with other products, and also had a production facility for jams, honey, ginger and chutney which were all branded “Epicure”.
While specialty products have always being their key selling points, they have introduced various ranges of products for those seeking new culinary and taste experiences, over the years. Currently, numerous products are sold under the Epicure brand name, which covers almost everything, from canned seafood to fruit juices and fruit syrups or baking ingredients & accompaniments to snacks and vegetables. Organic as well as non-organic beans & pulses, olives, honey, ginger and confectionery items also form a major part of their trade and export.
Even though today’s grocery market and consumer tastes have changed significantly since their early days, they have come a long way and still continue to innovate and re-brand via selection of the best produce, finest ingredients and amazing recipes to bring the best food quality and class to their customers. For this zest and passion towards food and taste, This brand has also won several laurels and awards, some of the notable ones being the Great Taste Awards from the Guild of Fine foods and The Grocer Awards.
Even to this day, Epicure constantly focuses on developing and extending product ranges and continues to be passionate about the quality of the products they offer in order to make good food taste great!
