FSSAI issues draft guidelines for restricting high-fat foods in schools & nearby areas

FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) following the direction of the high court after the petition filed by Uday Foundation have come up with a draft of guidelines. These guidelines will help in making ‘Wholesome, Nutritious, Safe and Hygienic Food’ to School Children. The guidelines currently are in two parts, which include guidelines for making available Wholesome and Nutritious Food to school children and guidelines on Food Safety, Hygiene and Sanitation for Food available in school canteens.
