As it turns out, our belly buttons are a lot like rain forests as studied by the researchers. A team of professional navel gazers studied the microbial contents in details of about 60 volunteers’ belly buttons! From all those 60 buttons, they found about 2.3k bacterial species of which about 1.4k were completely new to science. Conclusively, they have suggested proper cleaning of that region!
