There are several reasons as to why the empty spaces are kept by some of the medicine manufacturers. It can be to increase the inertness of the tablet or to keep a standard packaging, the company maintains these spaces to avoid additional costs. Another logical reason could be to print the entire content on the back of the strip which is not possible in case of a one-tablet strip. A major reason could be to avoid damage during transportation. It could also be to fool consumers as a big packet makes people believe that it is worth the prize.
