Eating healthy on weekdays, junk on weekends as bad as regular junk-bingeing

Research says that yo-yoing between eating well during the weekdays and having junk food over the weekend is very likely to be just as harmful to the gut health as a consistent diet of junk food. A research conducted on rats by the University of New South Wales in Australian published the journal of Molecular Nutrition and Food Research rats on a cyclical diet were more susceptible to diseases as compared to ones on a healthy food diet.
