The current definition of “healthy” as per the FDA is described as “an implied nutrient content claim” which suggests that the food is consistent with the current dietary recommendations, particularly for cholesterol and fat. The problem with this definition is, it leaves a wide open space for interpretation of this term, as we have seen similar cases in the case of term “natural”. FDA is inclined to modify the definition of the term “healthy” food.
