The bone cells showed an increased storage of an emergency fuel inthe form of glycogen, which is a sugar reservoir. Additionally, they also started using an amino acid - glutamine to produce more antioxidants which will nullify the harmful oxygen radicals produced. This ultimately will lead to better bone regeneration.
