Delhi Government has aimed to achieve clean, unadulterated and wholesome foods for public. As part of their plan, around 23,000 street food vendors in the city are going to receive food safety and hygiene training. They will also be issued a certificate on the basis of their performance in the test. In the first phase of this initiative, 18000 vendors will receive education and training.

In front of Aster Public School in Mayur Vihar Phase I, garbage overflowed outside the walls of the dump. The residents of the area have undergone the ordeal over the past week because the cleanliness workers of the East and North corporations have been on strike for not being paid for 3 months. The school children, their parents and surrounding food stalls are affected.

Their researchers have found unwanted contaminants and substances in human food like antibiotics, pesticides, etc., and hence want to educate people about the same and promote natural and good food.
