Ikaria is an isolated isle in Greece which is known for longer lives of its citizens, which in some cases is even more than 100 years. Research suggests that diet is one of the primary reason behind their longevity. The most frequently consumed food on this island are fresh veggies which are harvested by themselves in their own legumes and gardens. They hardly consume meat and use abundant of olive oil. They also forage for herbs and greens seasonally.
