Ketosis is a state of metabolism where ketones become the primary source of energy for the brain and entire body. This happens when insulin and carb intake levels are very low. The brain uses ketones for energy when it does not get enough glucose. Ketogenic diets can help you reduce epileptic seizures in children effectively. Also, studies show that ketogenic diet is more effective in weight loss than low-fat diets.
