There is a short video on YouTube which clearly explains the difference between hard water and soft water based on their mineral content. In the video, it has been stated that concentration of minerals such as magnesium, calcium is higher than normal in “hard” water. Furthermore, it states that insoluble compounds are formed when soap reacts with the minerals in the hard water and a lather is formed when studied with soft water. All the bottles of drinking water have an expiration date on their label but it does not really mean you cannot drink it. They are sold with an expiry date but the truth is that water never expires. As required by the law, all consumable food products should have an expiry date on their packaging/label and water too, falls under this category. Thus, even bologna and lemonade will contain expiry on their labeling.

A new research by researchers in Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Nanjing University in China, will make you want to tweak your cooking routine in the kitchen. They said cooking with chlorinated tap water and iodized table salt could put potentially harmful toxins in your food. The team found several molecules that are almost completely new to scientists created by cooking with chlorinated tap water and iodized table salt. They said that limiting cooking time and temperature, and cooking with table salt fortified with iodate instead of iodide, could be safest.
